Special Feature: HBO Special on Floyd Mayweather’s Boot Camp and Impending Jail Time

Two Boxing Fights to watch:

Look out! Here’s a new special about Floyd Mayweather aired this past weekend. It’s deemed Floyd Mayweather: Speaking Out, featuring the biographer Michael Dyson. Although these questions sound more like softballs, yet here are a couple of interesting response from Floyd and they were recorded by David King. Mayweather also spoke about his own impending incarceration, even inferring his own bankable assets and celebrity appeal which had a lot to do with his current legal problems.
“I’m pretty sure Martin Luther King has been to jail,” Mayweather said. “I’m pretty sure Malcolm X has been to jail, and there’s many more that’s been in jail. You take the good with the good, and the bad with the bad. This is just another obstacle put in my way, but I can get through anything. Am I guilty? Absolutely not.”

During the special, Mayweather went on to say that he took a plea deal just because he didn’t want to just drag his own kids through the legal process. This could be a bit complicated but maybe Floyd is not going to get locked up in jail for trying to enact social change like Martin Luther King. Some people says that Floyd is trying to just justify the fact that he is going to a place with hardened criminals by telling himself that really influential people also went to jail.

Mayweather doesn’t just seem to be bothered by the fact though, and he’s sure is confident his legacy will withstand the test of time. No one’s sure if the historians are going to just look kindly on Mayweather as Muhammad Ali, but yes, he still will be remembered. Mayweather will be remembered as a fighter who never faced Pacquiao and he started the 24/7 movement. Watching the certain episode and the 24/7 back-to-back is one heck of a surreal experience. One even featured this subdued and honest Floyd Mayweather Jr. and the other features the very show off and flamboyant Money Mayweather Jr.. Don’t forget to watch the rest of the other upcoming episodes.

  1. Mayweather and Cotto are both tough and great boxer. During their fight, I never thought that Mayweather will win cause Cotto also made a good performance that time. But according to the result, Mayweather is still undefeated.
